Dendritic opals give the perfect snowy forest feelings. This stone reminds me of a frozen creeks deep in the woods. The band features a full forest of tiny trees.
No part of this ring is cast. It was entirely hand fabricated from sterling silver sheet metal and wire. Each tiny tree was drawn onto the silver sheet metal then carefully cut out with a hand held jewelers saw. Once the ring was formed and soldered together it went through many rounds of polishing and texturing. Lastly a rich patina was applied then selectively removed to bring it to life.
