Journeys Beginning- Sterling Silver Meadow Sunrise Pendant

Looking over a peaceful meadow scene this piece draws you through the forest and into the mountains. It represents the wonder in the start of a new adventure. The colorful sunrise guides the beginning of the journey into nature.

No part of this heirloom-quality pendant is cast. Each element is created by hand. The inner scene started as an original drawing on sheet metal that was carefully cut with a handheld jeweler's saw. Each layer was formed and textured giving this scene a realistic view into the mountains. The twig boarder was created from melting and carving sterling silver wire. Once it was soldered and polished different patinas were applied. In a long process the colors of the sunrise appeared to glow over the scene.
